Riders Republic is one of the biggest surprises of the year for me. A title with a gameplay so polished that it is capable of erasing all the bad preconceptions you could have about it. In the end, the most important thing about Riders Republic is that it makes you feel like the king of the mountain in every jump, every skid and every stunt that you manage to land safely on the ground.

What a ride! Riders Republic gives you an amount of freedom that you can hardly find anywhere else, and lets you choose your own path within a happy community that’s keen to celebrate your successes.

Riders Republic is a high-octane ode to joy. An almost perfect extreme sports theme-park open world where having fun is the only thing that matters. Despite a confusing progression and some little hiccups camera and control-wise, Ubisoft Annecy brought in the best part of Steep, The Crew 2 and a bit of punk attitude to create a versatile and compelling experience, even if sometimes a bit too much overwhelming.

Riders Republic is the best extreme sports game in ages, but it is, unfortunately, drowning in cringe. Luckily, the game’s beauty is in its gorgeous world and mechanics and not its characters or dialogue. You have to check this one out if you like extreme sports games and fancy a more precarious spin on Forza Horizon. Just be aware that the first impression is rough, and you may need to mattock through some shocking set dressing and turn off the dialogue to break into Riders Republic’s deeply satisfying core.

You'll find many enjoyable hours exploring, racing, and styling your way around Riders Republic. The world is gorgeous, the sound design and music choices are on point. There are only a few events that will frustrate you. Thankfully, you can mostly avoid these.
  6. Riders Republic misses its chance to be a great game due to some of its lacks in customization and gameplay. An extremely fun game that anyone who loves extreme sports should try.

Riders Republic tries to improve the Steep formula on many levels, but sometimes fails to really find its own way: by constantly soliciting the players with its trials, rewards, gears, modes and extras, Ubisoft Annecy's new formula sometimes forgets to let us enjoy the ride and its vast landscape.

The sense of speed you have when you drive your bike down a hill with multiple people all around you is so awesome. The map is giant but never feels empty. So much to discover and do.

Moving around does not get boring because you can always change up how you move and the natural vistas are beautiful.

Only downside are the dialogues but just ignore those and you will have an amazing time.

Hope this game will get a large community and will get supported for many years with more events, outfits and perhaps even more sports (skateboard for instance). Best purchase I made this year. Highly recommended.

Solo que la introducción es un tostón de literalmente 1 hora y media, y es una mierda.
Fuera de eso el juego me encantó.

This is the first game from Ubisoft in a long time that people want to play again. It brings something new and cool again.

Ubisoft execs can't evenOnce again Ubisoft trying to be the jack of all trades and failing on all fronts except.......... yep the shop works. Ubisoft execs can't even figure out why games like Forza are huge hits and it's because Forza is trying to do one thing right whereas Ubisoft try to do everything at once.

Remember The Crew and The Crew 2? The Crew failed because the world was awful, it was empty and there was nothing to do but they still allowed people to spend $60 until they brought out what they called an "expansion" but then charged the existing player base another $30 to turn their existing games into something at least playable!

Then The Crew 2 came out with Cars, Boats and Planes and once again Ubisoft showed they don't care about getting it right. They just care about giving the illusion of quantity at the expense of quality.

Riders Republic is essentially the same thing with assets from the Assassins Creed and Ghost Recon open worlds wrapped in a game of extreme sports minus the extreme part as there is no injury. When you bump into stuff you just turn 90 degrees left or right and the screen goes grey.

Maybe Ubisoft will learn that people want quality but personally I doubt it and given the aggressive nature of this game i'd say they spent more on behavioural psychologists than on development.

By trying to appeal to everyone they've basically appealed only to the easily pleased but its these players that will try and never play again despite liking it. They have no retention because they operate only on hype and fear of missing out. These kinds of players move onto the next hyped product as soon as it's announced so this game is never going to garner a loyal player base because people don't like being milked if the content is boring.

The 4 is for the idea and the minus 6 is for the terrible execution.

When I first started playing this game, I really thought I was going to enjoy it. Well, that lasted for about an hour or so. After that itWhen I first started playing this game, I really thought I was going to enjoy it. Well, that lasted for about an hour or so. After that it became one of the most frustrating games I've played in a long time. If you enjoy cheap mechanics that constantly screw you, you are going to love this game! You are going to get bumped so many times in races. A lot of those bumps from the ghost opponents are going to cause you to crash or mess up and have to start from the beginning. By the 20th or 25th time of having to start a race over because you make one tiny mistake or get bumped by the ghost opponents, you are going to want to pull your hair out.

If you aren't frustrated yet, just wait until you've restarted the game for the 15th time because it randomly crashed.

Not frustrated yet from the game crashing or screwing you over in races? Well, just keep playing and I'm sure after you've heard the same song 25 times in a row (it restarts the same song over when you restart a race), you will rather bang your head against a wall than keep putting up with the crap Riders Republic sends your way.

On top of all that, I bought the Ultimate Edition and it still won't give me any of the cosmetics that come with that edition. So Ubisoft again releases another half-baked game and screws their customers. Don't let them screw you too!

I definitely won't be playing this game again until they address all these issues. You probably won't have much fun playing Riders Republic either until they actually finish the game and fix all these issues.
