MojoNov 4, 2021Both of these albums twisted machines to Radiohead's will, to their need to hear soulful songs singing in their wires. And they're resonating still. [Dec 2021, p.102]
Nov 5, 2021Long-awaited, Kid A Mnesia is a testament of Radiohead’s phenomenal abilities, and stands as one of this year’s most exciting reissues. Fans of the group may rejoice, while newcomers will receive the full experience of two of the 21st century’s major creative achievements.
Nov 5, 2021None of the bonus material on Kid Amnesiae, the third “bonus” disc accompanying the two studio albums, has the same revelatory quality as the inclusions on OK Computer OKNOTOK 1997 2017. ... It was the indelible sounds they made on Kid A and Amnesiac, more than any of the album’s digital age paranoia or its baleful view of the future, that comprise the band’s enduring legacy. Those sounds break free of anything you might want to attach to them.
Nov 5, 2021The instrumental How To Disappear Into Strings adds a stentorian dimension to How To Disappear Completely, while Fog ascends to a whole new level of mystery in its Again Again version. Radiohead’s loving tending of their back catalogue wins out again.
UncutNov 4, 2021Extra disc Kid Amnesiae mostly puts a fresh spin on pre-existing material, with just a handful of previously unheard compositions. Hearing them again two decade later, the shock of the new has faded, but the sonic richness and meticulous attention to detail endures. Behind the fizz and crunch and crackle lies a surprisingly lush, soulful beauty. [Dec 2021, p.40]
Nov 4, 2021The third disc, annoyingly titled Kid Amnesiae, starts off promisingly enough with a straight piano version of “Like Spinning Plates.” ... Only four of the 12 tracks here stretch past four minutes, with the majority of them clocking in at under two. That would be excusable if these leftovers revealed anything about what it must have been like to be in the room while making a pair of classic albums.

Kid Amnesia however is not over priced for what, on vinyl, is a 3 LP set. The addition of unreleased songs is a big draw of course, but for me the real pull is getting the double album that we could have gotten in 2000, instead of the separate releases that they went with. I like that idea and i'm happy to say that it works well. The right choice in 2000 was to release them separately, and it makes it a fun and interesting listening experience 20 years later.… Expand
Nov 8, 2021Kid Amnesia is a great compilation of Kid A and Amnesiac. The 3rd disc is where you find the real gems. If You Say The Word and Follow MeKid Amnesia is a great compilation of Kid A and Amnesiac. The 3rd disc is where you find the real gems. If You Say The Word and Follow Me Around show new excerpts of a time when Radiohead were experimenting their new sound and not being pigeonholed into the mainstream. This is astonishing and very much alongside with the OKNOTOK re-release in 2017, this gives us an exciting look into a band who are still at the very forefront of alternative music and honestly I'm excited to see what the future holds… Expand
